About Us

Welcome to Green Cove Homestead!  We're located in Olympia, WA and getting started with our home based project that will be centered around natural living, sustainability, and fun! Here's a little more about each of us.

ADAM

Adam has lived in Olympia since 2011.  He's an Evergreen State College graduate and is interested in Sustainable Agriculture, Biodynamics, Gardening, Medicinal Herbs, Composting, Art, Poetry, Music, Dance, Tai Ji and many other things!  He'll be a co-author of this blog as we share our experiences and projects here on the Homestead.

WENDY

Hi!  I moved to Olympia in the fall of 2014.  Previously we lived in Phoenix, AZ.  Adam is my brother and Clint is my husband (Married since 2003)  I have long been interested in gardening, natural living, and herbalism.  Living in urban Phoenix it was difficult to pursue any of those things as hobbies!  Now that we're here in the Pacific Northwest, and have many resources and land to grow things on, I can finally explore.  I'm excited to share the journey with you! Along with the gardening and homesteading projects, I'm an Independent Distributor for Shaklee - a company I LOVE!  I also make jewelry, enjoy arts & crafts, reading, writing, yoga, and Tai Ji.

 

CLINT

Clint is Wendy's husband.  He works as an Industrial Painter and travels a lot for work.  When he's home he enjoys working around the homestead.  Helping us garden, building things, tending the yard and the chickens.  He enjoys cooking and is our resident "Food Expert" when it comes to canning and preserving, cooking, smoking meats, etc.  He's not a blogger here, but you may hear him mentioned now and then when we're talking about projects that he helped with.

 

THE KIDS

We have three children; ages 16, 11, and 9.  You'll probably hear mention of them or see pictures of them as we share our projects and adventures.  We hope to get them involved in a lot of the gardening and homesteading projects!
